Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and our replacement guarantee work for paid engagements with GetGuru.pro (the "Service"). It applies in addition to our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used here have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Billing cycle
Engagements are billed in advance for recurring bi-weekly periods of 14 calendar days. The first bi-weekly period begins on the start date confirmed in your onboarding agreement.
2. Cancellation
Either party may cancel an active engagement at any time:
- Provide written notice to billing@getguru.pro.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the bi-weekly period in which notice is received.
- Any setup or onboarding fees already paid are non-refundable, as they cover one-time work that has already been performed.
3. Replacement guarantee
If a placed Guru is not meeting your reasonable expectations within the first 30 calendar days of their start date, we will replace them at no additional cost. To request a replacement:
- Email billing@getguru.pro with the reasons within the 30-day window.
- We will remove the current Guru from the engagement and present replacement candidates within 5 business days.
- The replacement Guru's 30-day window begins on their start date.
Replacement guarantee applies once per role per 12-month period and assumes the role description and expectations have not materially changed since the original placement.
4. Refunds
- Within the first 7 days of a Guru's start date: full refund of the current bi-weekly period, less any setup fees, if the engagement is cancelled and the replacement guarantee is not used.
- After day 7 of the current period: no refund is issued for the in-progress bi-weekly period because services have already been delivered. Cancellation simply ends future billing as described in Section 2.
- Future periods: any bi-weekly periods billed in advance but not yet started will be refunded in full.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval.
5. Pause or hold
Clients may pause an active engagement for up to 30 days per calendar year with at least 7 days' written notice. Billing is suspended during an approved pause. Pauses do not extend the replacement guarantee window.
6. Disputes & chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact billing@getguru.pro within 30 days of the charge date. We will respond within 5 business days and work in good faith to resolve the dispute.
Please do not initiate a chargeback or payment reversal before contacting us. Chargebacks filed without first using this process may result in suspension of the engagement and a non-refundable administrative fee equal to the chargeback cost passed on by the payment processor.
7. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be settled by binding arbitration in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the billing contact on file at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
